G13.1 Windows drivers: 4.5.450.13 Release date: 2022-01-07 Linux drivers: 13.1.10 Release date: 2021-08-20 | With the previous release (4.4.441) we integrated the control extensions (for buttons and LEDs) directly to the SDK, removing the need for installing any server-side extensions for all HWSDK integrators, PDC and PRDM users. However, SpeechExec Enterprise and SpeechSDK admins still need to set up server side extensions for audio and mixer redirection. With the 4.5 release, this changes! SpeechExec Enterprise 8.0 will use this new version and thus not require the setup of any server-side extensions anymore. Any Philips or 3rd party software integrating any Philips SDK can now be installed the same way on virtual as on local systems. The only difference is that when working in virtual systems, Philips client extensions need to be set up on the Windows or Linux clients.

G13.1 Windows drivers: 4.4.441.29 Release date: 2021-08-20 Linux drivers: 13.1.10 Release date: 2021-08-20 | No more target/server side extension setup (PhilipsSpeechDriversSetup.exe). Target/server side extensions are directly integrated into HWSDK components like SpMikeCtrl.dll and DPMCtrl.dll. These new integrated extensions auto-detect the type of virtual environment (Citrix/VMware/RDP/local). Please note that this change is only applied to the control extensions (for redirecting buttons and LEDs etc). Thus, the change fully affects software like HWSDK integrations (SpeechMike, Foot control, DPM), PRDM and Philips Device Connector. However, Philips SpeechExec Enterprise or Philips SpeechSDK integrations also use Philips audio and mixer extensions, which are not yet auto-detecting the remote environment and thus have to be set up manually. For more information, see Philips SpeechExec Enterprise or Philips SpeechSDK integration.
Only one smart client side extension setup. It installs all Philips client extensions required for the specific platform it is executed on, regardless whether it´s 32 or 64 bit and regardless whether the client is connecting to a Citrix, VMware or RDP session. Users don´t need to make any selection before and during setup! Philips extensions are now more robust in session switching/roaming use cases Support of Philips SmartMike Duo USB devices
