Philips SpeechLive received major UI Upgrade
Philips SpeechLive, the cutting-edge transcription solution, has received a state-of-the-art user interface (UI) upgrade making it faster and more responsive for professionals seeking new dictation software.
The groundbreaking improvements include 25+ new features and enhancements as part of a redesigned web app with advanced reporting for viewing and tracking metrics, plus the ability to upload audio files of any kind.
Mac and Apple Watch users will also benefit from this seamless experience, as the new SpeechLive UI supercharges efficiency, streamlines processes, and provides an unparalleled user experience with the utmost security.
Working with highly respected UX and UI experts, headline features from the upgrade include:
Improved Audio Uploads: SpeechLive now supports more audio formats than ever before – 14 in total – that automatically convert to WAV files during upload.
Superior User Experience: A user-centric design makes for smoother and more intuitive interaction allowing staff to focus on what’s important to them.
New Onboarding Flow: The onboarding process becomes faster and more efficient for new users so they acclimatise to SpeechLive quicker.
Smarter Navigation: An improved navigation system makes it easier and more efficient to find your way around the app.
Empowering Mac Users: SpeechLive has extended the reach of its renowned desktop app to Mac users, who can now experience the convenience of speech recognition in any text field and the seamless uploading of dictations.
Apple Watch Support: Provides on-the-go support with the ability to record and playback dictations from your wrist, plus seamless synchronisation with the SpeechLive app for iOS.
Improved Search Function: Users gain the ability to search for dictations, dictation properties, and attachments. This enhancement empowers users to quickly locate specific dictations and attachments within SpeechLive.
Simplified Dictation with QR Codes: To streamline the process of inputting dictation properties, a QR code scanning feature has been added to the SpeechLive Mobile App. This allows authors to effortlessly populate dictation properties, saving time and reducing the risk of typing errors.
Webhooks for Smoother Integration: In addition to the recent API rollout, webhooks enable other apps to be notified when key events happen in SpeechLive.
Automatic Dictation Routing: Administrators can automate dictation routing, selecting preferred teams based on dictation priority and defining fallback teams or typists for untranscribed dictations. This significantly reduces administrative workload and operational overheads.
Confidential Dictations and Enhanced Security: Authors can mark dictations as confidential, giving them greater control over sensitive content and access permissions. In an effort to maintain the highest security and reliability standards, Philips Dictation is also moving the SpeechLive online shop and account administration to the Microsoft Azure Datacentre.
Free minutes and reduced costs: As part of a revamped speech-to-text (STT) experience across mobile, desktop and web, all users can also enjoy 200 free minutes of AI transcription. This is in addition to an average 40% reduction in the cost of STT packs since last year, coupled with improved quality through a new speech recognition engine.
"We are committed to empowering professionals with state-of-the-art tools to enhance their dictation and transcription workflows," says Ryan Braddock, Vice President and Sales Director - United Kingdom & Ireland. "These exciting UI enhancements are a testament to our dedication to innovation, user-centric design, and our mission to provide unmatched solutions that improve productivity and user satisfaction."
