General information
This 4-in-1 firmware is valid for
- SpeechMike 3 LFH32xx/LFH33xx (first hardware revision)
- SpeechMike 3 LFH32xx/LFH33xx (second hardware revision, from serial nr.
510001 onwards - e.g. LFH32005100010 / LFH33005100017)
- SpeechMike Premium LFH35xx/LFH36xx (first hardware revision)
- SpeechMike Premium LFH35xx/LFH36xx (second hardware revision, from serial nr.
510001 onwards - e.g. LFH35005000011 / LFH36005000018)
The hardware revision does not affect the function nor the appearance of the device. However, second hardware revision devices require different firmware components than first revision devices. This is why different version numbers are displayed on the website (e.g. 3.71/2.65). When running a firmware upgrade, Philips software version 4.6 or later will always pick proper firmware components for the currently connected device.
To run firmware upgrades with this 4-in-1 firmware you need to use SpeechControl version 4.6 (or later), SpeechMike SDK 4.6 (or later) or PRDM 4.3 (or later).
NOTE: This firmware CAN NOT be used for upgrades of the SpeechMike Premium Touch SMP37xx/SMP38xx
Release notes
SpeechMike 3 and SpeechMike Premium - second hardware revision
V3.76 technical release 2022-07-07
IMPROVEMENT | In
some environments the default sampling rate of 22050Hz of the SpeechMike is not
accepted and has to be switched to a sampling rate of 44100Hz.
Starting with SpeechControl (PDCC) V4.6, the software includes a
sampling rate switch to support these environments.
This firmware version now supports the new SpeechControl software version and
allows switching the sampling rate even during Rec or Play. [SMFW-40]

V3.69 technical release 2020-12-03 (non-published version)
-
IMPROVEMENT | Improved VmWare compatibility: Exchanged the order of the
keyboard and the volume control interface in the USB descriptor to reflect the
correct interface identification indexes.
This fixes a device recognition problem that a few customers had when using the
SpeechMike in a virtual environment with VmWare.e.
-
IMPROVEMENT | Improved Windows 10 compatibility: With the latest
Windows 10 release, Microsoft has changed the USB audio interface. Due to that
Windows 10 did no longer accept the reported default microphone level of the
device during the first connection and the microphone level was set to zero (0).
To overcome this issue we have adapted the firmware in order to guarantee that
the correct microphone lecel is now reported to the USB host.
-
IMPROVEMENT | More reliable firmware upgrade process: We have learned that
approx. 50% of all firmware upgrades were not initiated, because the device
denied to upgrade the firmware for safety reasons. After re-evaluating all
safety aspects, we were able to make the firmware upgrade process more reliable
in that the device also allows a firmware upgrade in playback mode.
