Lerners LLP is a law firm with more than 100 lawyers, active worldwide, distributed across several offices in London, UK and Toronto, Canada. Several years ago it became clear that the firm was no longer up to date technically. For example, it was impossible for the firms in Toronto to quickly access documents of the firms in London. A modern dictation system suitable for the firm's work methods had to be found. Thanks to Philips SpeechExec Enterprise it is now possible for all employees to access any unlocked file at any time.

It is hardly surprising that a globally acting law firm such as Lerners LLP demands the highest standards of their technology. However, the fact that many of the young lawyers actually wanted to take the newly implemented Philips devices home with them was surprising.

Many young lawyers now also use the new devices for their work at home, and just take them along. „They are neither unwieldy or heavy - and easily fit into any briefcase. Many of our employees just put them in their trouser pockets on their way home", says Rooney.
